ABOUT BRITTNEY GARCIA-DUMAS
Hi, I’m brittney from Arlington, Texas
I’m Brittney Garcia-Dumas, and I am honored to run for Arlington City Council District 5. I’m running because our District 5 deserves a strong and loud advocate that shows up for the RESIDENTS FIRST!
Born & raised in Arlington, TX
Arlington is not just where I live, it is where I was raised and where my life began.
I had my first great teacher at Little Elementary, earned my first paycheck at The Parks Mall, and spent summers in our community pools. Like many longtime residents, I have watched Arlington grow and change over the years. This city gave me the foundation to build a family, a business, and a life I am proud of. I am running to help ensure Arlington remains a strong community and welcomes the future generations by putting RESIDENTS FIRST.
small business owner
As a Small Business Owner, I believe good local government starts with common sense and accountability. We must keep neighborhoods safe, manage taxpayer dollars responsibly, and maintain the city services residents depend on. Just like in business, Arlington works best when decisions are made with transparency, fiscal discipline, and respect for the people who live and work here. I believe in listening to residents, planning carefully before spending, and making practical decisions that strengthen our community.
COMMUNITY LEADER
This campaign is about service, stewardship, and protecting the quality of life that makes Arlington a great place to call home. As an Executive Board Member of Downtown, I know growth should be thoughtful and well-planned, protecting property values and preserving the character of our neighborhoods. I am running to serve our community and help guide Arlington toward a safe, stable, and prosperous future.
mother and champion of young families
Arlington must return to a RESIDENTS FIRST policy promise for our current and future families. We are at a pivotal moment where we must encourage new, young families to make our hometown, their hometown. As a mother of Elementary-aged kids, I know what families need and want for their future. This looks like strong partnerships with our schools, protecting our community spaces, and pursuing new commercial for high paying jobs.
I believe that Arlington, Texas is Hometown, USA and I’m excited to make my hometown, your hometown.
If you believe like I believe that we can create Arlington’s best days now and into the future, I would be honored to earn your support.
